1. Domain Name

Every website has a domain name. This is your yourdomain.com or URL address. Use the tool above in order to see what is available as far as domain names are concerned. It can take a little time to find a domain name. When you come up with a name that is available, purchase it and make note of your account login information. You’ll need this when your site is taken live. We will be happy to help you with any issues that you might have with this process.

2. The Stages of Website Design and Development

When planning your design, you will want to take some time to think about what you wish to accomplish with your new website and determine if you will need any special functionality or interactivity with your visitors.

Website Planning

We encourage you to look at other websites in your own business industry and consider the type of design style which appeals to you so that you can convey your ideas to us. Based on the information you provided, we will attempt to determine your needs and get a feel for your industry. It is important for you to be as detailed as possible as you must provide the content of each page to us. If you have an “About Us” page or an “Our Services” and other page links, we’ll need for you to give us the text so that your pages contain exactly what you want to say. Who knows your business better than you, right?

Graphical Design – Look and Feel of Your Site

You will need to let us know the navigation links you would like such as home, about us, services, etc., and provide text and or product information to be included on your site. In addition, you may also supply material such as company logo, personal photos, etc., if desired.

If you have any guide sites you would like us to refer to when designing your site (around 3) or if you have any preference as to colors, style and so on, please provide this information, as well.

For E-Commerce sites that require us to enter products for you, we will need you to supply us with Product Name, Unique Product ID Number (if any), Product Description, Options (if any – size, color, etc), Price, Approximate Weight, Number in Stock, as well as the product photos named in correspondence with the Product ID. Ideally, all of the above information should be supplied prior to us getting started.

Completion Phase

Once we get close to the end of the design, we will provide you with a private URL address where we can both take a look at the near final design. We will discuss every aspect of the website design with you and talk about any changes that you may want to make at that time. It will be up to you to let us know how you feel, you may want to makes changes on the sites or let us know any other ideas that you want to accomplish. We want to compile a final check list, get these taken care of, making sure the site is exactly like you want it before taking it live.
